A Study on Promotion of Employment for People with Mental Retardation and Development Disabilities

Abstract
Before the introduction of supported employment, we assumed that people with severe disabilities could not function in regular words settings. Supported employment has changed many of our expectations about the employment of People with Mental Retardation and Development Disabilities. But it is not yet easy in employment. People with Mental Retardation and Development Disabilities may face a number of complex problem such as functional limitations and environmental barriers when they try to get a job. Thus purpose of this is to identify the Promotion of Employment for People with Mental Retardation and Development Disabilities. The summarized of this research are as follows: First, supported employment should be developed as a mean of creating jobs which serve purposes of both industrial production and means living for the People with Mental Retardation and Development Disabilities who face great difficulty in finding regular employment. Second, Vocational Rehabilitation facilities as well as supported employment should be enlarge as the policy of the People with Mental Retardation and Development Disabilities. Third, Vocational Rehabilitation facilities to operates in parents should be enlarge as the policy of the People with Mental Retardation and Development Disabilities.
